"description": "The edge of everything. Gorgeous dunes that rise and fall like the breath of something older than God. The sand is not one color — it shifts from bone white to deep ochre depending on whether the sun is punishing or merely indifferent. Traders toil through with rust-orange fire in their eyes and the sun burning defiance into their skin. Skeletons of camels and their riders line the route, and nobody stops to mourn them because mourning takes water and water is a currency here. The border between the Mali Empire and whatever comes after. Birds circle overhead — maybe vultures, maybe scouts, maybe both. The heat bends light into shapes that lie to you. The Sahara does not care if you cross it. The Sahara does not care about anything.",
